In the context of Faculty of Medicine/YU's contribution to serve the academic medical community, FMYU participated in the workshop that was organized by Jordan Medical Council JMC cooperated with FM/YU and Arab Board of Health Specializations(ABHS). This workshop was intended to chairmen and members of the scientific specialized committees in Jordanian Board exams in Medical specialties. It's aim is to develop the exams to keep up with the modern means of technological development. This workshop was held on Tuesday and Wednesday (August 1st and 2nd, 2023) in the Specialty Hospital in Amman.
Prof. Manar Al-Lawama, the Dean of FM/YU and the chief of Test Measurement and Evaluation Department @ (ABHS),Prof. Sabeeh Mashhadani gave lectures in the two days of the workshop. FM/YU participation came also through attendance of the workshop by a number of the faculty in FM/YU as members in different specialties in JMC; Dr. Mohammad Alzoubi (in the committee of Urology), Dr. Dina Qaadan (in the committee of Family Medicine) and Dr. Heba Alzoubi (in the committee of Pathology and Labs)
Within the context of Yarmouk University's interest in serving the local community, the Faculty of Medicine held a free medical day in the town of Kufryouba. The coordination with local bodies was supervised by Dr. Mohammad Kharshgah, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine - Department of Clinical Medical Sciences. This community activity took place on Saturday, June 24, 2023
It was covered by a number of faculty members in the Clinical Medical Sciences Department, who are:Dr. Dina Qaadan, family medicine specialist
Dr. Khaled Seetan, a specialist in dermatology and venereal diseases
Dr. Aseel Gharaibeh, a pediatrician
Dr. Hadeel Hailat, a family medicine specialist
Dr. Mohammad Kharashgah, a general surgeon
In the free day, medical care was provided to approximately 650 patients from the local community. The local officials in the region presented shields and certificates to our faculty in appreciation of their efforts.
The Deans Council in Yarmouk University decided to promote Dr. Suhair Qudsieh , the Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist - Clinical Medical Sciences (CMS) department -Faculty of Medicine
from a rank of Assistant Professor to a rank of Associate Professor

The deanship of Faculty of Medicine announces the times of re-sit exams for 5th year medical students for the academic year 2022-2023 as follows:
Students eligible to sit for these exams are the ones who failed in the course or who want to raise their average from below 60%

The Deanship of faculty of Medicine presented with Prof. Manar Al-Lawama and her deputies and assistants congratulates medical students, teaching and administrative staff and all Arab and Muslim worlds on (Eid Al-Adha 1444 H) that shines with the first light rays of Wednesday June 28 th, 2023. The deanship wishes pilgrims in Mecca the acceptance and blessings, and wish every one who fasted, prayed and did the good deeds in the first ten days of 'Thee AlHijja'; the arabic holy month and Arafah day to have these good deeds accepted by Allah.

Dr. Shadi Abu Halima, Professor of Vascular Surgery at West Virginia University in the United States of America, delivered a lecture entitled
'Acute mesenteric Ischemia'
The lecture was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, a number of dean’s assistants, teaching staff of general surgery in the faculty and doctors of other specialties in the college, and a large group of students and a number of administrators working in FMYU.
At the end of the lecture, Dr. Abu Halima answered the audience's questions. Then the Dean Dr. Manar Al-Lawama spoke about the visiting professor as a colleague in Jordan University and thanked him for his participation in the clinical exams of our university students and for giving this valuable lecture. She also presented him with the university shield in appreciation of these valuable contributions.
The lecture took place in the blue auditorium on the campus of the Faculty of Medicine and began at 12 noon on Monday, May 22nd, 2023.
