FM/YU congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr 2024 AC,1445 H
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Yarmouk University, Prof. Manar Al-Lawama, her deputies and assistants sincerely congratulate and wish all our students and their families, our academic staff, our employees, the university family, the Jordanian people, and the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of the coming of Eid Al-Fitr for this year 2024-1445 Hijri.
May Allah accept their prayers and fasting in the blessed month of Ramadan, and to spend an enjoyable Eid with their loved ones. We all pray to Allah to end all the pains and sufferings of all people who suffer in our Arab region and in the whole world.

from a rank of Assistant Professor to a rank of Associate Professor

ًWateen medical debates team held their fifth debate entitled (The factors that influence medical students' decision on choosing their future specialty ) on Apr. 4th, 2024 in the Faculty of Medicine campus at Yarmouk University, under the auspices of the FM/YU dean ,Prof. Manar Al-Lawama and the Dean of student's' affairs deanship Prof. Mutasem Shatnawi, with the attendance of Dr. Hasan Al-Balas the vice-dean who opened the ceremony with a speech greeted the team and the students participating in the debate. He stressed on the importance of such activities on developing the personality of a good medical doctor. The debsate was attended by number of the teaching staff, the families of the debaters and medical students.
The judges were teaching staff members from both departments CMS and BMS as follows: Dr. Hadeel Abu Elrub, Dr. Jomana Alsulaiman, Dr. Khalid Sawalmeh and Dr. Mohammad Akram Awwad.
The two teams were team one of medical students: Zaid Adanat and Yousef Sawafeen, and team 2 of the medical students: Amal Alomari and Rand Alibraheem. Team 1 won the debate
Under the patronage of the president of Yarmouk University Prof. Islam Massad, with the attendance of Prof. Manar Al-Lawama, the Dean of Faculty of Medicine the seminar titled: " Insights into clinical trials: Ethics, Regulations, Legislation, and Future opportunities" was held in Ibn Sina hall in Faculty of Medicine campus, on Wednesday Feb. 28th, 2024 at 1 pm . The toastmaster of the seminar Dr. Ola Soudah , the head of SRO (scientific research office) in the FM/YU presented the guests who spoke in the seminar and welcomed them and the president of the university, the Dean , The administrative and teaching staff and the students.
The Dean Prof. Al-Lawama welcomed the audience and the speakers in the campus of Faculty of Medicine @YU.
The speakers were: The Pharmacist Dr. Saleem Al-Mahrouq , the head of the pharmaceutical studies in Jordan FDA, Prof. Sayer Al-Azzam , Pharmacy professor in J.U.S.T. university , The pharmacist Dr. Sabeeha Malkawi, the head of pharmaceutical studies center in Irbid specialty Hospital and Dr. Reema Karasneh , the Head of IRB committee in Yarmouk University. The speakers talked about different axes of the seminar subject , then they answered the questions of the audience.

Under the patronage of the dean Prof. Manar Al-Lawama, a lecture titled (Mastering the art of research) was held in the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Zahrawi smart hall on Thursday, March 28th, 2024, the speaker was Dr. Reema Karasneh of BMS department in the faculty.
This lecture is a ring in a chain of lectures and workshops directed to the teaching staff to improve their abilities in medical research, and to develop a research environment in the faculty of medicine.
The lecture was attended by members of the teaching faculty who were involved in the discussion with Dr. Karasneh after the lecture.
. Under the auspices of the dean of faculty of Medicine Prof. Manar Al-Lawama , an awareness campaign about the health of teen girls was held on Thursday 7th of March in Jerash secondary school. This activity was within (the ambulant clinic) that FM/YU initiated under the slogan (We came to help you), this activity was this time with collaboration with Jerash education department.
The University team was Dr. Soha Beitawi , Dr. Dina Qa'adan and Dr. Ola Soudah.

Faculty of Medicine is pleased to announce
the launch of the first campaign of its (mobile clinic) under the slogan (We came to you). The mobile clinic aims to present the preventive medical and screening services to the local community and the people of our homeland Jordan.
The opening campaign will be held in Al-Rabiya municipality in Al-Koura district on Wednesday, Feb. 21st, 2024 between 10 am and 1 pm
We invite you all to participate in our various events which will include:
1- Screening for Hypertension and Diabetes
2- Family medicine consultations
3- Monitoring the Growth and Development of children in different childhood age groups
4- Awareness and health education to improve a healthy life style
We invite all the community members to participate in this campaign to get the screening tests , investigations and medical consultations
