the launch of the first campaign of its (mobile clinic) under the slogan (We came to you). The mobile clinic aims to present the preventive medical and screening services to the local community and the people of our homeland Jordan.
The opening campaign will be held in Al-Rabiya municipality in Al-Koura district on Wednesday, Feb. 21st, 2024 between 10 am and 1 pm
We invite you all to participate in our various events which will include:
1- Screening for Hypertension and Diabetes
2- Family medicine consultations
3- Monitoring the Growth and Development of children in different childhood age groups
4- Awareness and health education to improve a healthy life style
We invite all the community members to participate in this campaign to get the screening tests , investigations and medical consultations

The Deans Council in Yarmouk University decided to promote Dr. Soha Al-Beitawi , the Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist - Clinical Medical Sciences (CMS) department -Faculty of Medicine
from a rank of Assistant Professor to a rank of Associate Professor
The family of Faculty of Medicine represented by the deanship and the teaching and administrative staff congratultes Dr.Soha and wishes her the best in her life and continuing to advance in her academic career
The welcoming meeting for the new medical students who enrolled the studies the new academic year 2023-2024. The meeting was under the auspices of the Dean of Faculty of Medicine Prof. Manar Al-Lawama. The attendees were the students and the deanship members and number of the faculty. The meeting was held on Thursday Oct. 12th, 2023 at 9 am.
The meeting started with a talk by the dean assistant for students affairs Dr. Hiba Alzoubi, who welcomed the new students and gave them a summary about the Faculty and its campus and the deanship. Then Prof. Al-Lawama the dean talked to her daughters and sons the new comers. She congratulated them with the registration and urged them to work hard and study smart. Prof. Al-Lawama stressed on the importance of applying the ethics code in their practice and attitude with other students and with their teachers and administrative staff and to be a role model for other students in the university.
Dr. Maryam Alomari the head of the BMS- Basic Medical Sciences department , then talked briefly to the new medical students about the academic plan especially in the first three years of their studies. Dr. Fatima Almahasneh the counselling director of the first year medical students acquainted herself to the new students and gave them the contact times and information to contact her for any advice or to solve any problem.
Dr. Hiba Alzoubi talked again, and this time to give the students her experience about effective studying ways as this stage is different than the secondary school stage with different subjects and busier curriculum. Finally the Dean answered the questions of the students and supervised the election of a representative of the students, who was elected by his fellows.

The final exams table for 6th year students for the current academic year was decided as follows:
Faculty of Medicine/ YU represented by the Dean Prof. Manar Al-Lawama is honored to invite out new comer students who enrolled the Doctor of Medicine program at the academic year 2023-2024 to attend the welcoming meeting of all first year students ( The meeting will be for orientation purposes , including get acquainted with the deanship, overview of the curriculum in different academic years in both the basic and clinical stages, counselling committee contact info and services, the electronic services in the website, the dress code and ethics code).
The meeting will be held in Ibn Sina auditorium in the FM/YU campus , on Thursday Oct 12th, 2023, from 9 am till 11 am
The attendance is mandatory and students who have lectures at the time of the meeting will be given excuses for their absence.

" Insights into clinical trials: Ethics, Regulations, Legislation, and Future opportunities"
The seminar will be held in Ibn Sina hall in Faculty of Medicine campus, at 1 pm , on Wednesday Feb. 28th, 2024
Dr. Nesreen Bataineh, a faculty member at the faculty of Medicine, who holds the Jordanian Board in Histopathology and Fellowship in the British Royal College of Pathologists, Participated in the committee of examiners for the Fellowship at the Royal College of Pathologists exam, Part II. This exam qualifies pathology residents to work as specialists in the United Kingdom
The exam was conducted over two full days (10-11 Oct 2023) and contained 6 parts, 3 of which contained oral exams.
30 candidates sat for the exam from inside and outside Jordan
Dr. Bataineh represented Faculty of Medicine YU in this exam. She represents the Faculty also in the Jordanian Board exam scientific committee in Pathology for the last few years.
The Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies Deanship announced the start of applications to MSc program of (infection Control and Epidemiology) for Jordanian and Non Jordanian students. The start of studies will be in the First semester of the academic year 2023-2024.
Applications will be received between Tuesday Oct. 3rd, 2023 and Sunday Oct. 8th, 2023.
It's worth mentioning that this program is one of Faculty of Medicine/YU programs, directed by the Department of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS).
