The Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University, in cooperation with the Jordanian Breast Cancer Program, launched the “Pink Hope” initiative to enhance awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and provide specialized medical services on the university campus.
The first phase of this initiative includes qualifying a group of medical students through comprehensive training courses, where Dr. Mohammad Kharashgah, Assistant Professor of Oncology, Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery, gave specialized lectures on breast cancer.
In addition, a group of specialists from the Jordanian Breast Cancer Program provided awareness lectures and training workshops to enhance awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer. This initiative aims to provide specialized medical services on the university campus, including medical consultation in a specialized breast disease clinic. It also provides the opportunity for students to participate in specialized teams to enhance management and leadership skills and develop the spirit of volunteer work.
This initiative is considered an important step in enhancing awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and providing specialized medical services to students at Yarmouk University.
