Welcome to the Department of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS), which was established in 2016. BMS is one of the academic departments of Faculty of Medicine in Yarmouk Uuniversity. It deals with medical students in their first three years (Pre-clinical years), to build their basic knowledge resposible to understand the clinical cases , how the healthy body works from the genetic level through the cell , tissues, organs and systems, so they will be able to understand first the normal body structures and activities then secondly how any defect in them will cause diseases.
The subjects in the scope of BMS department are: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Histology and Pharmacology.
