Clinical Training Office (CTO):
The Clinical Training Office (CTO) manages all the details related to clinical training for students of the Faculty of Medicine in the clinical stage, which includes the fourth, fifth and sixth years. It seeks to provide possible training opportunities for students through coordination between the Clinical Medical Sciences (CMS) department in the Faculty and affiliated training hospitals. Then follow-up, evaluation and development of training to suit the mission and objectives of the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University.
The vision of CTO:
Our vision is to achieve excellence in providing services for medical education in terms of clinical training and to achieve the vision of the Faculty of Medicine. The focus of our mission is to provide an appropriate and stimulating environment for training and to apply the practical and clinical aspects in what serves medical education and contributes to the graduation of professionally qualified competent medical graduates capable of working with creativity and providing a high quality health service to the local community.
Duties of CTO :
- Communicating with hospitals with which we have agreements to train students in.
- Distribution of students in clinical years within a specific mechanism.
- Preparing the documents required for the purposes of elective training programs for sixth year students, such as letters of recommendation and evaluation forms.
- Carry out the necessary procedures to allow our students to submit for international medical examinations and verify certificates for the purposes of the American Board.
- Developing and following up the mechanism for selecting students for exchange in the field of clinical training with international hospitals.
- Follow up on cooperation agreements in the field of clinical training.
- Develop a mechanism for evaluation in clinical courses and follow-up during study years and after graduation.
