Faculty of Medicine/ YU proudly announces its entry into the World University ranking (QS) for the first time within the group rank 701-750. The administration congratulates the university, the medical students and the faculty's teaching and administrative staff and confirms its endeavor to advance in the path of excellence, development and innovation.
This step though it's a paradigm shift in the faculty's short journey, but with the hard work and solidarity of its personnel, the Faculty will build on it to reach the best of its strategy to prepare generations of competent doctors and enrich Jordan, the region and the world with the highest level of medical service providers, scientific research and societies welfare.
On Thursday 13/2/2025, the Pediatric Student Interest Group (PSIG) was launched in Yarmouk University. The event took place at the main entrance of the Faculty of Medicine. Dr Jumanah Al-Sulaiman, the dean, opened the event with many academics and students from all the teaching years attending. Multiple objectives and upcoming events were discussed with the audience and registration forms were handed and filled by interested students.
FM/YU congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr 2025 AC,1446 H
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Yarmouk University, Dr. Jomana Al-Sulaiman, her deputy and assistants sincerely congratulate and wish all our students and their families, our academic staff, our employees, the university family, the Jordanian people, and the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of the coming of Eid Al-Fitr for this year 2025-1446 Hijri.
May Allah accept their prayers and fasting in the blessed month of Ramadan, and to spend an enjoyable Eid with their loved ones. We all pray to Allah to end all the pains and sufferings of all people who suffer in our Arab region and in the whole world.
Under the auspices of the dean of Faculty of Medicine Dr. Jomana Al-Sulaiman the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center CSSC @FM/YU held two workshops to train faculty members on the high fidelity simulation mannequins ( I stan). The workshop supervised by Dr. Mohammad Akram Awwad the dean assistant for E learning and Simulation and the co-director of CSSC Dr. Soha Albeitawi. The lecturer was the engineer Mr. Alaa Maqatef from Al-Hadi company for medical technology and informatics.
The workshops were attended by a group of teaching faculty. and started with a short welcoming speech by Dr. Al-Sulaiman who stressed on the importance of simulation by learning to expose all students to the clinical skills needed for their practice and different scenarios that they will meet in reality.
The first workshop was held on Sunday Feb. 16th, 2025 and the second on Wednesday Feb 19th, 2025.
