On Sunday, August 31, 2025, a lecture was presented entitled: Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy.
It was the fourth lecture in the series of scientific Grand Rounds at the Faculty of Medicine, delivered by Dr. Soha Al-Betawi, Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The lecture covered an introduction to mitochondrial replacement therapy, its types, applications, and the related scientific, ethical, and religious considerations. It was attended by a good number of audiences from both the academic staff and students who actively engaged with the topic.
These lectures are held as part of the Faculty’s plan to enhance scientific awareness among academic staff and students.
