Within the framework of the relentless pursuit of the Faculty of Medicine to ensure the quality of work and to extend its local and international accreditation, the Deanship of the Faculty of Medicine and the quality committees emanating from the Quality Assurance Advisory Board at the Faculty hold periodic meetings of its various committees.
On Thursday, June 2, 2022, a meeting of the Quality Assurance Advisory Board was held at the College of Medicine, headed by the Dean of the College, Prof. Khaldoon Bashaireh with members of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS), in which the conferees discussed what the quality committees have reached with regard to the department, their suggestions and opinions regarding the progress of work in these committees in order to reach the higher interest of our medical school, the medical students and the educational process, thus raising the status of our emerging school to the ranks of major medical schools in the region and the world .
Dr. Bashaireh gave a presentation on the upcoming requirements for renewal and extension of accreditation and the activation of quality systems in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences and the Faculty. Then, the Dean Assistant of the Quality Assurance Affairs, Dr. Nisreen Bataineh talked about the detailed progress of the steps in this regard, what has been achieved and what is expected to be accomplished during the coming period. Then the Dean Assistant for Clinical Training Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Zoubi talked about the academic program, which is one of the quality standards.
And then Dr. Rami Al-Omari, the assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Medical Sciences (CMS), gave a summary about students' achievements in the medical licensing exams in the United States of America (USMLE) as a measure of the Faculty's educational competencies. After that, a discussion was held and suggestions were made regarding the agenda of the meeting between the Advisory Board for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in the college and the attendees from the Department of Basic Medical Sciences.
