Computerized Laboratories
At the first years of its age, the Faculty of Medicine was completely dependent on computerized labs in different parts of the university to let medical students conduct the computerized exams and to study the courses that needs computers as well as database digging for research work. The opening of the new Faculty of Medicine campus paved its way to seek self-sufficiency regarding this issue. Soon after this date seven computerized laboratories within the Faculty campus were fully equipped and opened. They are smoothly and permanently connected to the university intra-network and with the computer center and the e-learning center at the university.
Examinations are held in these laboratories, whether at the end of the various courses of all the study stages or at the end of the academic year.
An eighth large computerized laboratory is being prepared in the campus, containing more than 200 computers, for purposes related to teaching applied courses in scientific research, the new master course in infection control and other courses that require computers.The seven active laboratories are:
- Medicine 1 Lab, which contains 32 computers.
- Medicine 2 Lab, which contains 40 computers.
- Medicine 3 Lab, which contains 48 computers.
- Medicine 4 Lab, which contains 32 computers.
- Medicine 5 Lab, which contains 32 computers.
- Medicine 6 Lab, which contains 32 computers. (The six above labs are located in the computerized laboratories wing next to the deanship offices on the first floor)
- Medicine 7 Lab, which contains 56 computers, and is located in the basement of the Faculty campus
