نظمت كلية الطب في جامعة اليرموك ورشة تدريبية لأعضاء الهيئة التدريسية والمدرسين السريرين من وزارة الصحة والخدمات الطبية الملكية والقطاع الخاص حول بناء القدرات للمدرسين السريرين ضمن ورشة: Capacity Building for Clinical Preceptors Workshop.

جاءت الورشة ضمن مشروع بناء القدرات للمدرسين السريرين (Capacity Building for Clinical Preceptors) والممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي.

استمرت الورشة لمدة يومين، وتضمنت تدريباً عملياً على أهم المهارات في التدريس السريري.

قدم الورشة مدربون من أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية من كلية طب اليرموك ممن تلقوا تدريباً مكثفاً لإعداد المدربين (TOT) من خلال المشروع، وهم: د. أسيل غرايبة، د. أنس الجيوسي، د. دينا قعدان، د. سها البيتاوي، د. قيس السعدي، د. محمد الزعبي، ود. هديل هيلات.

يذكر أن هذا المشروع قائم بالشراكة بين كليات الطب في الجامعات الأردنية الحكومية الستة، وجامعة مينو في البرتغال، وجامعة باتراس في اليونان، وقد شارك زملاء من جامعة مينو في حضور الورشة.

لقت الورشة تفاعلاً كبيراً وتقديراً من الحضور. وأشادت عميدة الكلية الدكتورة جمانة السليمان بأهمية هذه الأنشطة التي تسهم في ازدهار التعليم الطبي وتعزيز التعاون بين مختلف القطاعات الطبية التعليمية المحلية والدولية، كما أثنت على جهود المدربين واختتمت الورشة بتوزيع الشهادات على المشاركين.

وستسعى كلية الطب إلى عقد مزيد من هذه الورشات لتمكين أكبر عدد ممكن من المدرسين السريرين ضمن رؤيتها في التطوير المهني المستمر.

The Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University organized a training workshop for faculty members and clinical instructors from the Ministry of Health, the Royal Medical Services, and the private sector on capacity building for clinical preceptors: Capacity Building for Clinical Preceptors Workshop.

The workshop was held as part of the Capacity Building for Clinical Preceptors project, funded by the European Union.

The workshop lasted for two days and included hands-on training focused on the most important skills in clinical teaching.

The workshop was delivered by trainers from the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University who had received intensive Training of Trainers (TOT) preparation through the project. The trainers included: Dr. Aseel Gharaibeh, Dr. Anas Al-Jaioussi, Dr. Dina Qa‘dan, Dr. Soha Al-Beitawi, Dr. Qais Al-Sa‘di, Dr. Mohammad Al-Zoubi, and Dr. Hadeel Hailat.

This project is implemented in partnership between the Faculties of Medicine at the six public Jordanian universities, the University of Minho in Portugal, and the University of Patras in Greece. Colleagues from the University of Minho also attended the workshop.

The workshop received strong engagement and appreciation from participants. The Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Jumana Al-Suleiman, emphasized the importance of such activities in advancing medical education and strengthening collaboration among local and international medical education sectors. She also praised the efforts of the trainers and concluded the workshop by distributing certificates to the participants.

The Faculty of Medicine will continue to organize similar workshops in the future to empower the largest possible number of clinical instructors, in line with its vision for continuous professional development.

أطلقت كلية الطب في جامعة اليرموك، يوم الاثنين الموافق (22/12/2025)، فعالية انطلاقة مجموعة الطلبة المهتمين بتخصص النسائية والتوليد.

وذلك بمشاركة عدد من أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية والإدارية، إضافة إلى حضور واسع من طلبة كلية الطب من مختلف المراحل الدراسية.

وهدفت فعالية الانطلاقة إلى التعريف بالمجموعة ورؤيتها وأهدافها، وتسليط الضوء على الأنشطة العلمية والتوعوية التي تعتزم تنفيذها خلال الفترة المقبلة، إلى جانب تعزيز التواصل وبناء بيئة أكاديمية داعمة للطلبة المهتمين بتخصص النسائية والتوليد.

وفي ختام الفعالية، عبّر الطلبة عن اهتمامهم الكبير بالمجموعة وأنشطتها، حيث قام عدد منهم بتعبئة استمارة الانتساب، في أجواء إيجابية تعكس حرص الكلية على دعم المبادرات الطلابية العلمية الهادفة.

On Monday, December 22, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University launched the inaugural event for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Interest Student Group (OBG IG).

The event was attended by several faculty and administrative staff members, as well as a large number of medical students from various academic years.

The inaugural event aimed to introduce the group, its vision, and its objectives, and to highlight the scientific and awareness-raising activities it plans to implement in the coming period. It also aimed to foster communication and build a supportive academic environment for students interested in obstetrics and gynecology.

At the conclusion of the event, students expressed their keen interest in the group and its activities. Several students filled out membership forms in a positive atmosphere that reflects the Faculty’s commitment to supporting impactful student scientific initiatives.

تحت رعاية عميدة كلية الطب في جامعة اليرموك الدكتورة جمانة السليمان، وبالتعاون مع المركز الوطني لمكافحة الأوبئة والأمراض السارية وكلية الطب في جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية، وبدعم من مختبرات القضاة التخصصية، نظّمت كلية الطب يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 9/12/2025 فعاليات اليوم التوعوي الخاص بـ الأسبوع العالمي للتوعية بمضادات الميكروبات، وذلك في قاعة ابن سينا في الكلية.

جاءت هذه الفعالية تعزيزًا لدور كلية الطب في نشر الوعي الصحي بين الطلبة والمجتمع حول مخاطر سوء استخدام المضادات الحيوية وارتفاع معدلات مقاومة الميكروبات لها، وانسجامًا مع الجهود الوطنية والدولية للحد من انتشار العدوى المقاومة وتحسين الممارسات العلاجية في القطاع الصحي.

استُهلّ البرنامج بتوقيع المشاركين على لوحة التعهّد بالاستخدام الرشيد للمضادات الحيوية ضمن مبادرة “I pledge to use antibiotics with care”، أعقبها الافتتاح الرسمي الذي أكد أهمية تكامل الجهود بين المؤسسات الأكاديمية والصحية لمواجهة التحديات المتزايدة لمقاومة مضادات الميكروبات.

وتضمّن اليوم العلمي محاضرات متخصصة قدّمتها الدكتورة بتول الدوس من طب الأسرة، والدكتورة ولاء القضاة من طب الأطفال، والدكتور محمد المقابلة من طب الأسرة، حيث تناولت نشأة عصر المضادات الحيوية، وتطور المقاومة الميكروبية، وأنماط إساءة استخدام المضادات الحيوية في الأردن.

كما تخللت الفعالية مسابقة علمية تفاعلية وجلسة نقاشية موسعة بمشاركة نخبة من المختصين من الجامعات والمؤسسات الصحية الوطنية، أكدت أهمية التعاون البحثي والتوعوي للحد من انتشار العدوى المقاومة.

Under the patronage of Dr. Jumana Al-Suleiman, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University, and in collaboration with the National Center for Epidemics and Communicable Diseases Control and the Faculty of Medicine at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, with support from Al-Qudah Specialized Laboratories, the Faculty of Medicine organized an awareness event on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, as part of the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week, held at Ibn Sina Hall.

The event aimed to promote awareness among students and the community about the dangers of antibiotic misuse and the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance, in alignment with national and international efforts to improve therapeutic practices and reduce resistant infections.

The program began with participants signing the “I pledge to use antibiotics with care” board, followed by the official opening, which emphasized the importance of collaboration between academic and health institutions in addressing antimicrobial resistance.

Specialized lectures were delivered by Dr. Batool Eldos (Family Medicine), Dr. Walaa Al-Qudah (Pediatrics), and Dr. Mohammad Al-Magableh (Family Medicine), covering the evolution of antibiotics, multidrug-resistant pathogens, and national studies on antibiotic misuse in Jordan.

The event also included an interactive scientific quiz and an expert panel discussion featuring specialists from pediatrics, infectious diseases, microbiology, and public health, highlighting national and international strategies and the role of educational institutions in combating antimicrobial resistance.

ضمن رؤية ومسؤولية كلية الطب في جامعة اليرموك بتقديم دور فاعل وإيجابي في المجتمع المحلي، أقامت مبادرة العيادة المتنقلة في كلية الطب (جايين لعندك) اليوم الطبي المجاني الأول للعام الجامعي 2025-2026 في مركز الفاروق الطبي التابع لجمعية الفاروق الخيرية في مخيم الشهيد عزمي المفتي، وذلك يوم الأربعاء الموافق 7/1/2026.

وتميز اليوم بإقبال كبير من المرضى في مختلف العيادات والتي شملت تخصصات: النسائية والتوليد، الباطني، الغدد الصماء، جراحة العظام، الأنف والأذن والحنجرة، الجلدية والأطفال.

وقد شارك في هذا اليوم كل من: الدكتورة سها البيتاوي، الدكتورة دينا قعدان، الدكتور غيداء عبابنة، الدكتور محمد أكرم، الدكتور خالد سيتان، الدكتور محمود طناش والدكتور مهدي الشبول، والزميلة الإدارية السيدة دعاء غمش، إلى جانب مجموعة من الطلبة.

وقد أبدت إدارة المركز عميق التقدير والشكر لكادر الكلية، وتطلعت إلى مزيد من التعاون وتنظيم أيام مماثلة في المستقبل القريب.

In line with the vision and responsibility of the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University to actively participate in the local community, the Mobile Clinic Initiative at the Faculty of Medicine (“We’re Coming to You”) organized the first free medical day of the 2025–2026 academic year at Al-Farouq Medical Center, affiliated with Al-Farouq Charity Association, in Martyr Azmi Al-Mufti Camp, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

The day witnessed a large turnout of patients across various clinics, which included the following specialties: Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Orthopedic Surgery, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Dermatology, and Pediatrics.

Several members of the faculty staff participated in this medical day, including Dr. Suha Al-Beitawi, Dr. Dina Qaadan, Dr. Ghaidaa Ababneh, Dr. Mohammad Akram, Dr. Khaled Setan, Dr. Mahmoud Tanash, and Dr. Mahdi Al-Shboul, along with the administrative colleague Ms. Doaa Ghamsh and a group of students.

The center’s administration expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to the faculty staff and looked forward to further cooperation and organizing similar medical days in the near future.

برعاية عميدة كلية الطب الدكتورة جمانة السليمان، نظّمت كلية الطب محاضرة علمية ضمن سلسلة محاضرات Grand Rounds، وذلك في مدرج ابن سينا – كلية الطب، يوم الاثنين الموافق 15/12/2025.

جاءت المحاضرة بعنوان: From Symptoms to Scans: Understanding Demyelinating Diseases in Practice، وقدمها كل من الدكتور قيس السعدي والدكتورة آلاء إبراهيم، بحضور عدد من أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية وطلبة كلية الطب.

استهل الدكتور قيس السعدي المحاضرة بعرض شامل للأمراض المُزيلة للميالين، تناول فيه الأنواع المختلفة لهذه الأمراض، وطرق تشخيصها سريريًا، والأعراض المتنوعة التي قد تظهر لدى المرضى، إضافة إلى مناقشة الخيارات العلاجية المختلفة والفروقات فيما بينها.

وفي الجزء الثاني، استكملت الدكتورة آلاء إبراهيم الحديث من الناحية الشعاعية، حيث شرحت الفروقات التصويرية بين الأمراض المُزيلة للميالين، مع التركيز على دور التصوير بالرنين المغناطيسي (MRI) في تشخيص هذه الحالات، من خلال عرض أمثلة توضيحية وشرح الخصائص الشعاعية المميزة لكل مرض.

اختُتمت المحاضرة بنقاش علمي مثري، أكد على أهمية التكامل بين التقييم السريري والتشخيص الشعاعي في تحسين دقة التشخيص وجودة الرعاية الصحية المقدمة للمرضى.

Under the patronage of Dr. Jumana Al-Sulaiman, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine organized a scientific lecture as part of the Grand Rounds series, held at Ibn Sina Auditorium – Faculty of Medicine on Monday, December 15, 2025.

The lecture was titled From Symptoms to Scans: Understanding Demyelinating Diseases in Practice and was delivered by Dr. Qais Al-Saadi and Dr. Alaa Ibrahim, in the presence of faculty members and medical students.

Dr. Qais Al-Saadi opened the session with a comprehensive overview of demyelinating diseases, discussing their different types, clinical diagnostic approaches, associated symptoms, and available treatment options.

In the second part, Dr. Alaa Ibrahim addressed the topic from a radiological perspective, highlighting the imaging differences among demyelinating diseases and emphasizing the role of MRI in diagnosis, supported by illustrative cases and characteristic imaging features.

The lecture concluded with an engaging scientific discussion that emphasized the importance of integrating clinical evaluation with radiological findings to enhance diagnostic accuracy and improve patient care.

ضمن سلسلة محاضرات Grand Rounds التي تنظمها كلية الطب في جامعة اليرموك، عُقدت يوم الاثنين الموافق 17/11/2025 خامس محاضرات هذه السلسلة بعنوان: “Updates on Prevention Guidelines in Adults”

وقدّمت المحاضرة الدكتورة هديل هيلات، الأستاذ المساعد في شعبة طب الأسرة، حيث تناولت آخر التحديثات المتعلقة بإرشادات الوقاية لدى البالغين، مسلّطة الضوء على أهم التوصيات العلمية وآليات تطبيقها في الممارسة اليومية.

كما تناولت أهم الأدلة المستجدة الداعمة للقرارات الوقائية ووسائل الكشف المبكر عن الأمراض والسرطانات، مؤكدة أهمية اعتماد الإرشادات الدورية المبنية على الأدلة.

شهدت المحاضرة حضور أعضاء من الهيئة التدريسية، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة من خريجي الكلية من أطباء الامتياز والأطباء العامين، وتخللها نقاش فعّال يعكس اهتمام المشاركين وفائدتهم العلمية.

تأتي سلسلة محاضرات Grand Rounds ضمن جهود كلية الطب لتعزيز المعرفة الطبية والسريرية وتوفير منصة علمية لتبادل الخبرات بين الطلبة، الكادر التدريسي، والأطباء.

As part of the Grand Rounds lecture series organized by the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University, the fifth lecture was held on Monday, November 17, 2025, entitled: “Updates on Prevention Guidelines in Adults”

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Hadeel Heilat, Assistant Professor in the Family Medicine Division. She presented the latest updates on prevention guidelines in adults, highlighting key scientific recommendations and their application in daily medical practice.

Dr. Heilat discussed emerging evidence supporting preventive decision-making, along with mechanisms for early detection of diseases and various cancers, emphasizing the importance of regularly updated, evidence-based guidelines.

Several faculty members and graduates attended the lecture, including internship doctors and general practitioners. The session featured active discussion that reflected participants’ engagement and the value gained from the scientific content.

The Grand Rounds series reflects the Faculty’s commitment to enhancing medical and clinical knowledge and providing a scientific platform for exchanging expertise among students, faculty members, and physicians.

تحت رعاية عمادة كلية الطب في جامعة اليرموك، أقام مشروع علمي علمان لقاء ملتقى الوقار؛ وذلك لتكريم طالبات وطبيبات من خريجات الكلية ممن أتممن حفظ كتاب الله.

حضر اللقاء الدكتورة مريم العمري نائب العميد، والدكتورة سها البيتاوي مساعد العميد للبحث العلمي وخدمة المجتمع، والدكتورة فاطمة المحاسنة رئيسة قسم علم الأمراض، والدكتورة هبة الزعبي.

وتخلل اللقاء فقرات ابتدأت بالتعريف عن المبادرة ومن ثم ختمة للقرآن تبعها تكريم الحافظات وجلسة حوارية مع الحافظات وهن:

- الحافظة: الدكتورة رند أحمد الزيوت
- الحافظة: الطالبة نبأ شادي الأحمد

Under the patronage of the Deanship of the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University, the Ilman Scientific Project held the Al-Waqar Forum gathering to honor female students and physicians from the Faculty’s graduates who have completed memorizing the Holy Qur’an.

The event was attended by Dr. Maryam Al-Omari, Vice Dean; Dr. Suha Al-Baytawi, Assistant Dean for Scientific Research and Community Service; Dr. Fatimah Al-Mahasneh, Head of the Department of Pathology; and Dr. Heba Al-Zoubi.

The gathering included several segments, beginning with an introduction to the initiative, followed by a Qur’an recitation, then honoring the memorizers and holding a dialogue session with them. The honored memorizers were:
