I am Raneem Alaa Bereshy, got the chance to do my elective rotation in emergency medicine at the Cambridge Hospital in Massachusetts, USA in the Fall of 2023, which was one of the hospitals that is affiliated for training students from Tufts and Harvard Medical Schools .The experience I had was incredible the doctors, nursing staff, residents and medical students were all gentle and kind ,glad to offer any help or any information you would ask about . Multi-cultures are integrated in Massachusetts, so I touched this when I got the opportunity to deal with patients from different origins, which was unforgettable and worth to be mentioned; I met patients in the Emergency Department(ED) from Spain , Portugal and Arabs from Morocco ,Lebanon! The language was not a barrier to get the health care you needed with the online interpreter service that you can refer to. The organization and time were critical in ED so that the fast as well as precise processing of medical records were noticeable. In addition, there was a full section in ED for psychiatric health, which was interesting. The weather was fantastic; in fact, you could experience all four seasons in one day! I was very mindful to leave a good impression there and to leave an exemplary fingerprint as being the first medical student from Jordan as well as from Yarmouk Medical School got medical elective rotation there. My advice for you is to keep fighting till you reach your target .This chance took me a full year of searching and connecting with up of 40 hospitals and medical schools, so don’t give up and keep searching as early as possible. Finally, my thanks to my parents, who offered me this huge support and were my partners in this trip, to Dr. Sayah, who facilitated the process and invitation issues, and to Mr. Alsarabi, my host.
