Greetings! I'm Bashar Mistarihi, a sixth-year medical student at Yarmouk University, and I'm thrilled to share the transformative experience from my 2-month clinical rotations at King Abdulaziz Medical City (KAMC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Our curriculum at Yarmouk University promotes real-life clinical exposure, and this opportunity abroad immersed me in a global medical community.

 My journey across the Infection Control Department, respiratory and general ICU, pediatric and adult ICU was extraordinary. From admitting patients straight from the ED to witnessing impeccable teamwork at KAMC, each moment was a comprehensive lesson in medical care.

 Being entrusted with first-year resident responsibilities pushed me to round on patients, take medical histories, perform physical exams, and actively contribute to their care. This invaluable experience not only enhanced my clinical skills but also prepared me for upcoming residency challenges.

 Following up on patients with diverse medical conditions at KAMC was enriching, offering insights that honed my medical knowledge. This hands-on encounter was not just a professional growth milestone; it was a personal journey that sculpted me into a more dedicated and passionate future healthcare provider.

 Moreover, this unique setting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, provided Yarmouk medical students ,like me ,with an enriching and novel experience—a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We encountered rare cases like phagopagus conjoined twins, observed rare congenital diseases/syndromes, and learned stringent guidelines antibiotics in the infection control department.

 We also delved into the operations of such a large medical city, conducting three research papers under specialist and consultant supervision. Attending medical meetings and lectures by consultants broadened our understanding, and earning my BLS and ATLS certificate added an extra layer of excitement to this incredible experience.
